After Effect, Final Cut Pro
Here is more information from London Sinfonietta's web page:
"ort-oard was composed for cello and soundtrack.
It was commissioned as a Sinfonietta Short for the London Sinfonietta's 40th Birthday and was premiered as part of LDN_SNF 40 on 13 December 2008 at Spirit Level in the Southbank Centre.
This video was created in support of the music by students at Kingston University.
A piece of work while in University. I applied Chinese art elements such as the brush strokes, landscape...etc to combine with graphic elements. more after effects is used and attempted to play with the camera.
A word of the sound in our own language is the original idea of this project. I chose "BiWu" which represent siren sounds in Cantonese. It was an after effect based animation, used to create different effects together, manage the scenes, composting and control of the camera movement.
The brush started as part of the writing and ended with the words "BiWu". After Effect
We were given a min of music, and animated on top with it. The animation combine with elements of water and paper stencil animation. Presented in the Elizabeth Hall with the group of musician who created this music originally.
A cooperation project. Base on the story book "The Iron Man" as our character design. It's interesting to combine different people illustrated works together (e.g parts of character, Background...etc), In order to improve the camera control ability, I used single camera shot technique throughout this animation. watercolor, photoshop, after effect
